  • Top Ten Tuesday: Spring TBR

Posted at 5:30 am by Laura, on March 14, 2017

Top Ten Tuesday, a concept started by The Broke and the Bookish, is a themed post that connects bloggers to bloggers, bloggers to readers, and readers to readers. Every Tuesday has a special topic, and this Tuesday is Top Ten Books on my Spring TBR.

I’ve been doing my best to keep track of the books I’d like to read for my TBR. If I have some sense of a planned schedule (I’m finding more recently), I am more likely to meet my challenges for the year (more from my TBR bookcases in particular). Here are my January, February, and March TBR books on Instagram. This post will give a sneak peak into April, too!

The Hollywood Daughter || The Orphan’s Tale

What are you reading this spring? Have you read any of the books on my TBR?

Nice post, I never realised how popular Top Ten Tuesday was until today! Unfortunately I can’t join in as I don’t do a TBR (I actually wrote a post about TBRs really recently on my blog and explained why!). I still like reading the posts though!

Seeing the Stacy Lee title reminds me that I still have her first book (whose name escapes me atm) in my TBR pile. I also want to continue Juliet Marillier’s Sevenwaters series, and Hunted sounded interesting, too.

I hope you enjoy Like a River Glorious! I read it shortly after it came out last year and enjoyed it just as much as Walk On Earth a Stranger. 🙂

As for my own Spring TBR… It’s a mix of new books (A Conjuring of Light by V.E. Scwab, Winter of the Gods by Jordanna Max Brodsky, Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor) and older ones (Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel, Assassin’s Apprentice by Robin Hobb, finishing Tamora Pierce’s Song of the Lioness Quartet).

Stacey Lee’s first book was Under a Painted Sky — so good!

You have some excellent books on your spring TBR. I hope you’re able to get through them. I’ve read Assassin’s Apprentice and enjoyed it. Should probably get the next book…haha. So many books! So little time!

I want to read Hunted, you made it sound so interesting! And someday I will get back to Juliet Marillier… I really liked the one Stacey Lee book I read so I’ll be looking for your thoughts on Outrun the Moon! Still need to read Wrath of the Dawn… and more Outlander! My mom is reading The Fiery Cross now too 🙂 It was a little too long but I remember the last third being particularly great.Happy reading!

I just hope Fiery Cross isn’t the same kind of pulling-teeth feeling I had with Dragonfly in Amber. Oof, getting through the first half of the book was rough.

I hope so too! That’s the one I read slowly, but I remember the second half gets pretty juicy.

Hunted looks good, lots of bloggers seem to enjoy this one. Maybe it be the next fantasy/retelling I can get around to reading. Enjoy 😀

That reminds me… I need to finish The Fiery Cross too. I put it down when I was a bit over halfway about two years ago.

Oh goodness! Well, it’s a long series, and they’re all long books, and they’re not going anywhere. It’s still there whenever you get back to it 🙂

CANNOT wait to read “Hunted.” It sounds really good, and I just got my copy today. Nicola’s books are also of interest though I’ve not read one, I did recently pick up “Everything Everything,” so hopefully I’ll read it soon. 🙂

I loved The Sun Is Also a Star. Juliet Marillier is one of my favorite authors. Son of the Shadows is such a good book. I liked it even more than Daughter of the Forest. Hope you enjoy all the books on your list!

Thank you! I finished Son of the Shadows about a week or so ago and really enjoyed it. I’m excited to read the next in the series.

Hi! I haven’t read any of these. The Sun is Also a Star is on my list. And I keep seeing Hunted around, so I have to add that one!

The Fiery Cross is one I’ve read. Diana Gabaldon’s books are fantastic! I’m thrilled she’s coming out with a new one September-ish called Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone. Great title! I love her brand of historical fiction.
